<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0187-57792011000400411&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0187-57792011000400411&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0187-57792011000400411&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Se utilizó el método de la covarianza eddy para realizar mediciones de flujo de bióxido de carbono (CO2) y flujo de calor latente (LE) entre la atmósfera y 2 superficies de 3 ha de chile morrón (Capsicum annuum L.), una con acolchado plástico negro y la otra con acolchado plástico coextruido plata/negro. También se midió la radiación neta en cada superficie. Con estas mediciones se determinó la capacidad de asimilación de CO2 de la superficie vegetal con cada tipo de acolchado plástico, y se determinó la eficiencia intrínseca del uso del agua (mmol CO2 L-1) por cada superficie, dividiendo la asimilación integrada de CO2 en un determinado segmento del día entre la evapotranspiración (LE/2.44) integrada en el mismo segmento de tiempo. De igual forma se determinó la eficiencia del uso de la radiación neta (Rn), dividiendo para los mismos segmentos de tiempo la asimilación integrada de CO2 entre la Rn integrada. Los resultados de este estudio indicaron que en el cultivo con acolchado coextruido plata/negro, la asimilación integrada de CO2 durante el día fue 44.21% mayor que en el cultivo con acolchado plástico negro. De igual forma, la eficiencia intrínseca del uso del agua y de la radiación neta fueron 23.04 y 53.47% respectivamente mayores en el cultivo con acolchado coextruido plata/negro.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The eddy covariance method was used for measuring carbon dioxide flux (CO2) and latent heat flux (LE) between the atmosphere and 2 surfaces of 3 ha of bell peper, one under black plastic mulch and the other under silver/black plastic mulch. Net radiation was also measured at each surface. With this information, the CO2 assimilation capacity of each surface was determined. The intrinsic water use efficiency (mmol CO2 L-1) of each surface was obtained by dividing the integrated assimilation of CO2 on a given time segment of a day by the integrated evapotranspiration (LE/2.4) on the same time segment. In the same way, the net radiation (Rn) use efficiency was determined by dividing on the same time segments the integrated assimilation of CO2 by the integrated Rn. The results of this study indicated that for the crop with silver/black plastic mulch, daytime integrated assimilation of CO2 was 44.21% higher than the crop with black plastic mulch. Likewise, the intrinsic water use efficiency and net radiation use efficiency were 23.04 and 53.47% higher in the crop with silver/black plastic mulch.]]></p></abstract>
