En la relación precipitación-escurrimiento, en parcelas o cuencas hidrológicas, se requiere evaluar la humedad del suelo en términos espacialmente exhaustivos y en intervalos de tiempo cortos, tarea prácticamente imposible en aplicaciones operacionales de los modelos hidrológicos. El uso de los sensores remotos para medición de reflectancias, permite obtener información con los requerimientos definidos en la práctica operacional. Así, en este trabajo se presentan los resultados de un experimento en lotes de escurrimiento, usando un simulador de lluvia, donde se evaluó la evolución temporal de las reflectancias usando una fuente de energía constante durante el ciclo de secado. Los datos experimentales mostraron que el uso de un modelo temporal lineal de las reflectancias para estimar cambios de humedad de los suelos, dio buenos resultados (R2 &gt; 0.94) y permitió su parametrización usando solo dos variables, las cuales estuvieron correlacionadas entre sí.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Time modeling of the changes in soil moisture requires the knowledge of the soil hydraulic properties. To know the rainfall-runoff relationship in plots or hydrological basins, it is required to evaluate the soil moisture in spatially and exhaustive terms and with short intervals of time, a task practically impossible in operational applications of the hydrological models. The use of remote sensing, in reflectance measurements, enable to obtain information with the requirements defined in the operational practice. Thus, in this paper we present the results of an experiment in runoff plots using a rainfall simulator. In this experiment the temporal evolution of reflectance was evaluated using a constant energy source during the drying cycle. The experimental data shown that the use of a linear time reflectance model, to estimate the changes in the soil moisture, gave good results and it allowed its parameterization using only two correlated variables.]]></p></abstract>
