<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0187-31802016000100005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0187-31802016000100005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0187-31802016000100005&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: En el presente trabajo se evaluó la capacidad de tres basidiomicetos lignocelulolíticos nativos del Noreste de México para producir enzimas degradadoras de los principales componentes de la pared celular vegetal, así como su potencial en la biotransformación de pasto buffel (Cenchrus ciliaris) para mejorar su calidad nutrimental. En medio sólido se determinó el potencial lignocelulolítico y los títulos de celulasas, xilansas y lacasas. Se realizó biotransformación en bloques de pasto bufffel y el análisis de fibra y proteína a los 30 días de fermentación. Se observó que los basidiomicetos redujeron el contenido de fibra detergente neutro (NDF) en los bloques tratados. Trametes maxima mostró mayor capacidad lignolítica, ya que redujo el 14.2% del contenido de lignina del pasto. Pycnoporus sanguineus CS2 y T. hirsuta CS5 disminuyeron el contenido de celulosa (21.6 y 19.8% respectivamente), y hemicelulosa (17.1 y 14.2% respectivamente), con respecto al control. El tratamiento con los hongos P. sanguineus CS2 y T. hirsuta CS5 incrementó en 31% el contenido de proteína del pasto. Estos resultados sugieren que las cepas nativas de basidiomicetos incrementan la biodisponibilidad de nutrientes del pasto buffel y por consiguiente mejoran su calidad nutricional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The aim of the present work was to evaluate the capability of three native basidiomycetes from the Northeast region of Mexico to produce enzymes able to break down the main components of plant cell wall and their effect on the biotransformation of buffel grass (Cenchrus ci liaris) in order to increase its nutritional quality. Lignocellulolytic potential was evaluated on solid media and the biotransformation of buffel grass slabs was performed. Titers of cellulases, xylanases, and laccases were determined, as well as the fiber and protein content in the slabs. The basidiomycete reduced neutral detergent fiber (NDF) content on treated slabs. Trametes maxima CU1 showed the greatest lignolytic capability reducing 14.24% the lignin content of grass. Pycnoporus sanguineus CS2 and T. hirsuta CS5 reduced the content of cellulose (21.6 and 19.8% respectively), and hemicellulose (17.1 and 14.2% respectively) in comparison to the control. Treatment with fungi P. sanguineus CS2 and T. hirsuta CS5 increased in 31% the protein content of grass. These results denote that basidiomycetes increased nutrients bioavailability of buffel grass, hence increasing its nutritional quality.]]></p></abstract>
