Este artículo explora dicha diversidad y plantea varias preguntas clave: ¿Existe una lógica transversal en los enfoques de competencias? ¿Se observan especificidades nacionales o lógicas comunes a nivel internacional? ¿Qué empleados son los más afectados y qué cambios ocurren en sus actividades laborales? Analizando el movimiento general hacia la individualización de la relación salarial, el artículo se enmarca en las transformaciones del sistema productivo y los debates clásicos en la sociología del trabajo. Las competencias laborales deben entenderse desde una perspectiva histórica, considerando las circunstancias económicas y sociales que influyen en las necesidades empresariales y las cualidades demandadas a largo plazo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ The implementation of the competencies model in industry has generated diverse management practices using different names and tools, depending on the industry. This article explores this diversity and puts forward several key questions: Is there a logic that crosses all the competencies approaches? Can national specificities or common logics be observed internationally? Which employees are the most affected and what changes take place in their work activities? Analyzing the general trend toward individualized wage relations, the article is framed in the transformations of the productive system and classical debate in the sociology of labor. Labor competencies must be understood from a historical perspective, taking into account the economic and social circumstances that influence management&#8217;s needs and the skills required in the long term.]]></p></abstract>
