El podcast postula, en su forma, una interacción entre las facetas del diseño, la colaboración y la creatividad en la creación de los llamados contenidos culturales. Visto de modo general, este artículo expone cinco hipótesis conceptuales sobre los planos más plausibles para entender qué clase de criatura es el podcast. La primera hipótesis es una interpretación sociológica acerca de un &#8220;nuevo medio&#8221;; enseguida, como segunda hipótesis, se delinean los modos de interpretación hasta ahora dominantes sobre el podcasting; la tercera se detiene en los planos de ejecución; la cuarta plantea las conexiones con sus usos intelectuales; y, por último, se reflexiona sobre sus dimensiones políticas. Finalmente, se formulan interrogantes relativamente distintos respecto del pasado inmediato: ¿cuál es la relación del &#8220;nuevo medio&#8221; con la investigación social? Concluimos con una interrogante final: ¿de qué manera el podcast nos ayuda a pensar el mundo contemporáneo?.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT A sociological approach to podcasting as a multidimensional contemporary concept. The podcast in its form, interactively links design, collaboration and creativity in the creation of the so-called cultural content. Overall, this article presents five conceptual hypotheses concerning the most plausible ideas in understanding what kind of creature the podcast is. The first hypothesis is a sociological interpretation of the &#8220;new media&#8221;. For the second hypothesis, we attempt to trace the interpretation techniques so far prevalent of podcasting. The third hypothesis delves on the execution methods. The fourth one posits the intellectual uses and its political dimensions. Finally, we pose questions relatively different to the immediate past: what is the relationship between the &#8220;new media&#8221; and social research? Concluding with a final question: How does the podcast helps us to envision our modern world?.]]></p></abstract>
