</abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en">
ABSTRACT: Research projects into the cultural industries in the digital age have sought to understand the ways in which twentieth-century industries are changing in the context of digitalization. This research agenda does not manage to take into account the emergence of new cultural texts that do not necessarily parallel previously established industries. The author shines a light on some new traits linked to forms of production and circulation of cultural texts that have been the axis of this research agenda. He also develops the Feeld case, a dating app oriented to relational diversity, to point to the emergence of new texts with no parallels in the twentieth-century cultural industries, as well as the need to study them. Through the virtual interaction on this app between Mexicans, U.S. Americans, and Canadians, a text emerges that reads similarly to other cultural texts already recognized by research into cultural industries.
</abstract>
