Esta investigación tiene como objetivo proponer un sistema de gestión del transporte urbano de carga (TUC) adecuado a las características, demanda y patrones de comportamiento del transporte de mercancías al realizar sus entregas, considerando, por un lado, el giro del establecimiento comercial y, por el otro, el tipo de distribuidor. Los resultados obtenidos, mediante entrevistas a los responsables de los establecimientos y un estudio observacional, muestran las principales características en la entrega, y a partir de ellos se definen propuestas de gestión vial para ordenar la distribución.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Urban freight transport in the historic central business districts show management challenges, due their urban dynamics and their road infrastructure characteristics. For the above, this research aims to analyze the characteristics, demand and behavioral patterns of the urban freight transport in its deliveries, considering, on the one hand, the type of retail trade and, on the other, the supplier. Through interviews in the establishments and an observational study, the data are analyzed by statistical methods. The results shown the delivery characteristics and road management proposals are defined to improve the distribution.]]></p></abstract>
