Este artículo realiza un análisis sobre la diferencia de género en los puntajes de exámenes estandarizados en México. Los datos provienen de la prueba ENLACE para educación básica y media superior. En primaria y secundaria las niñas obtienen mejores resultados que los niños en español y en matemáticas para toda la distribución de puntajes, con excepción de matemáticas en la parte alta de la distribución, donde no se observa una diferencia significativa. En el nivel medio superior, en toda la distribución de puntajes, se observa que las niñas superan a los niños en español y lo opuesto sucede para matemáticas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper analyzes the gender gap in standardized test scores in Mexico. The data used comes from the ENLACE test for primary, junior high and high school. In primary and junior high school, girls perform better than boys in both spanish and math across the test score distribution, but in the top part of the math score distribution. In high school, across the test score distribution, girls perform better than boys in spanish and the opposite occurs in math.]]></p></abstract>
