Debido a esta característica, el danzante que porta la imagen, la cual representa una mezcla entre Jesucristo y Santiago apóstol, tiene que cumplir con una serie de requisitos, ya que al momento en que la utiliza «le presta su cuerpo al santo». Esto significa que no es solo el danzante quien baila y participa en la festividad, sino también la imagen. Contrario a esta idea, los especialistas han abordado a los Santiagos como una especie de danza-teatro donde solo las fuerzas humanas participan. La discusión que se presenta recoge una reflexión sobre los vínculos entre la ficción y la vida cotidiana que se establecen en una danza donde las personas se convierten en santos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: This paper deals with the Divine Face, a ritual object used in the dance of Santiagos in the regions of Texcoco and Teotihuacan, central Mexico, which the villagers consider as a saint or living image. Due to this characteristic, the dancer who carries the image, which represents a combination between Jesus Christ and Santiago Apostle, has to comply with a series of requirements since at the moment he uses it «he lends his body to the saint». This means that it is not only the dancer who dances and participates in the feast, but also the image. Contrary to this idea, specialists have approached the Santiagos as a kind of dance-theater where only human forces participate. The discussion presented here is a reflection on the links between fiction and daily life that are established in a dance where people become saints.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Resumé : Cet article aborde le Visage Divin, un objet rituel utilisé dans la danse des Santiagos dans les régions de Texcoco et Teotihuacan, Mexique central, qui est considéré par les villageois comme un saint ou une image vivante. En raison de cette caractéristique, le danseur qui porte l&#8217;image, qui représente une combinaison entre Jésus-Christ et l&#8217;apôtre Santiago, doit remplir une série d&#8217;exigences car au moment où il l&#8217;utilise, il « prête son corps au saint ». Cela signifie que ce n&#8217;est pas seulement le danseur qui danse et participe à la fête, mais aussi l&#8217;image. Contrairement à cette idée, les spécialistes ont abordé les Santiagos comme une sorte de danse-théâtre où seules les forces humaines participent. La discussion présentée ici est une réflexion sur les liens entre la fiction et la vie quotidienne qui s&#8217;établissent dans une danse où les gens deviennent des saints.]]></p></abstract>
