Se utilizó un diseño mixto, para explorar la percepción de los participantes acerca de su participación en el taller y su práctica de mindfulness, y los cambios en variables de calidad de vida, salud mental y autocompasión. Se encontró un aumento en la percepción de los participantes respecto de su calidad de vida y salud general, disminución de niveles de estrés y aumento de sus niveles de autocompasión en la escala general de Neff (2003) y en las sub-dimensiones de auto-juicio y sobreidentificación. Los resultados cualitativos dan cuenta de que la práctica de mindfulness se percibe como un espacio de autocuidado que repercute en el bienestar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research aims to determine the perceptions and effects of a mindfulness-based stress reduction intervention of ten weekly sessions in 25 university education officials (academic and non-academic) during the Covid-19 pandemic. A mixed design was used, to explore the perception of participants about their participation in the workshop their practice of mindfulness, and changes in variables of quality of life, mental health, and self-pity. We found an increase in the perception of participants regarding their quality of life and general health, a decrease in stress levels, and an increase in their levels of self-pity on the general Neff scale (2003) and in the sub-dimensions of self-judgment and over-identification. Qualitative results show that the practice of mindfulness is perceived as a space of self-care that impacts on well-being.]]></p></abstract>
