Ante ello, el objetivo del trabajo es reflexionar sobre las temáticas, efectos y retos que la actual coyuntura sanitaria ha dejado para el debate de la educación superior en esta región. El estudio es una reflexión crítica a partir de un análisis de literatura, identificando diez temáticas para analizar a las universidades latinoamericanas y algunos retos surgidos en este contexto. Se concluye que, al estar en un nivel exploratorio, la investigación da pie a una nueva agenda investigativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic has caused several problems and effects on higher education in Latin America and the Caribbean. Given this, the work objective is to reflect on the themes, effects, and challenges that the current health conjuncture has left for the debate on higher education in this region. The study is a critical reflection based on a literature analysis. Ten topics are identified to analyze Latin American universities and some challenges arising in this context are reflected. It is concluded that, being on an exploratory level, the research gives rise to a new research agenda.]]></p></abstract>
