Con base en el análisis de la eficiencia terminal de un total de 531 ingresados en los dos programas educativos, los resultados de la fase inicial del proyecto indican que la mayoría de los casos de deserción se dividen entre los primeros dos semestres y el periodo de titulación respectivamente, presentando una oportunidad de mejora por medio de apoyar a los egresados en realizar su trabajo de titulación para culminar sus estudios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research aims to explore the underlying causes of school dropout in two bachelor&#8217;s degrees in language teaching at a public university in Mexico. Based on the ending efficiency analysis of 531 students enrolled in the two educational programs, the result of the initial phase of the project indicate that the majority of dropout cases are divided between the first two semesters and the degree period respectively, presenting an opportunity for improvement by supporting graduates in completing their degree work to complete their studies.]]></p></abstract>
