Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa, basada en la aplicación de 15 grupos de discusión con profesores y 13 grupos de discusión con estudiantes en la región de La Araucanía, Chile. De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos, se puede establecer que hay principalmente tres estrategias utilizadas por los profesores: i) prácticas predigitales, en las cuales hay una valoración de lo analógico sobre lo digital; ii) prácticas asistencialistas, en donde los profesores promueven la importancia de seleccionar y evaluar correctamente la información, pero no aportan directrices a sus estudiantes; y iii) prácticas investigativas, en donde se promueven los criterios de búsqueda, evaluación y creación de la propia información.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article intends to explore the pedagogical practices used by professors for teaching the skills of searching for, evaluating and creating information, and to detect the argumentative schemes that justify the use of such strategies. A qualitative methodology was used, based on the application of 15 discussion groups for professors and 13 groups for students in the region of La Araucanía, Chile. The results establish that there are three main strategies used by professors: i) pre-digital practices, in which there is analog information is valued over digital information, ii) assistance-based practices, in which professors promote the importance of correctly selecting and evaluating the information but do not provide guidelines to students; and iii) investigative practices, where they promote criteria by which students can search for, evaluate and create their own information.]]></p></abstract>
