La investigación de su influencia sobre el aprendizaje y su vinculación con el campo educativo ha sido muy escasa. Este artículo analiza la relación entre estas experiencias y la construcción de identidad de aprendiz. Con este fin se revisan, en primer lugar, los principales enfoques teóricos desde los que se han estudiado las experiencias transformadoras y su relación con el aprendizaje. Se examinan los conceptos de experiencia cumbre, epifanía, puntos de inflexión (turning points), incidente crítico, experiencia crítica, experiencia significativa, experiencia cristalizadora y experiencia educativa clave. Tomando como referencia el modelo de identidad de aprendiz, se propone el concepto de experiencia clave de aprendizaje. Finalmente, se reflexiona sobre algunas aportaciones de esta propuesta para la investigación e intervención educativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Transformative experiences are highly emotional subjective experiences that open up new opportunities of meaning and positioning for individuals. Investigation into their influence on learning and their ties to the field of education has been very scarce. This article analyzes the relationship between these experiences and construction of the learner identity. To this end, the authors reviewed the main theoretical focuses used for studying transformative experiences and their relationship to learning. Concepts of peak experience, epiphany, turning points, critical incident, critical experience, meaningful experience, crystallized experience and key educational experience are examined. Using the learner identity model as a reference, the concept of key learning experience is proposed. Finally, the authors reflect on some contributions from this proposal for future research and educational interventions.]]></p></abstract>
