En primer lugar, se examinan las primeras giras mexicanas de Stravinski, y su vínculo con Bal y Gay a partir de los diarios de Vera Stravinski y Robert Craft, entre otras fuentes. En una segunda parte, se analiza la presencia del compositor ruso en los escritos del musicólogo español, valorando el papel de Bal y Gay como difusor de la obra musical y literaria de Stravinski en el ámbito hispanoamericano.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The present article analyses the reception in Mexico of the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky between 1940-1961-the dates of his first and his last tours in this country-on the basis of his influence on Spanish musicians in exile, with special attention to musicologist and composer Jesús Bal y Gay, exiled in Mexico between 1939 and 1965. The article examines, first of all, Stravinsky's first tours in Mexico, and also his links with Bal y Gay from the diaries of Vera Stravinsky and Robert Craft, among other sources. Secondly, it analyzes the presence of the Russian composer in the writings of the Spanish musicologist, valuing the role of Bal y Gay as a diffuser of Stravinsky's musical and literary work in the Hispano-American scene.]]></p></abstract>
