Para tal efecto, se ejecutaron 5 sondeos de penetración estándar (SPT) con el objetivo de determinar las propiedades geotécnicas de los sitios donde se presentaron los mayores daños, así mismo, la aceleración máxima del suelo que se presentó durante el evento sísmico se estimó usando las técnicas EHVSR y MHVSR, para suprimir o estimar efectos de sitio en 5 puntos localizados en la zona de estudio. Por último, la vulnerabilidad a la licuación de los estratos arenosos se determinó por el método empírico simplificado propuesto por Seed e Idriss (1971) y modificado por Youd, et al. (2001).]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This paper consists in a review of 21 homes damaged due to liquefaction of soils after the September 7th, 2017 earthquake (Mw 8.2) in the city of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz in Mexico. For this purpose, five standard penetration tests (SPT) were carried out to determine the geotechnical properties of the site where the greatest damage occurred. Additionally, the maximum ground acceleration during the seismic event was estimated using EHVSR and MHVSR techniques, in order to suppress or estimate the site effects at 5 points located in the study area. Finally, liquefaction vulnerability of sandy strata was determined by the simplified empirical method proposed by Seed and Idriss (1971) and modified by Youd et al. (2001).]]></p></abstract>
