La producción de naranja Valencia es afectada por Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, 1908 en el Valle de Concá, Arroyo Seco, Querétaro, México. Con el fin de entender mejor esta problemática, se determinó y correlacionó la abundancia temporal de D. citri con variables climáticas en el cultivo. El estudio se llevó a cabo entre el 2019 y 2022. Para el monitoreo de los adultos de D. citri, se utilizaron 20 trampas amarillas pegajosas por huerta, las cuales se sustituían y se registraba la cantidad de adultos cada 14 días, el conteo de los adultos de D. citri se realizaron en el laboratorio de Manejo y Conservación de Recursos Naturales CIDAF-UAQ. Se registraron las variables climáticas en cada huerta utilizando un Data Logger Hobbo. Las medias de adultos capturados fueron analizadas con la prueba de normalidad de Shapiro-Wilk, posteriormente se aplicó la prueba no paramétrica de Kruskal-Wallis, complementando con un modelo lineal mixto generalizado. La autocorrelación espacial de la abundancia en las huertas se realizó por medio del índice de Morán. Para observar la relación entre la abundancia y factores climáticos se realizó la distribución de Kernel y un análisis de correlación cruzada. Todos los análisis estadísticos se realizaron en el software R, versión 4.3.1. Los resultados confirmaron la presencia de D. citri en el Valle de Concá durante los cuatro años del estudio. No hubo un patrón de fluctuación poblacional consistente cada año, la distribución de los insectos en las huertas es de manera aleatoria, observándose diferencias significativas entre éstas, la abundancia de D. citri es variable en escala de tiempo y se observó una correlación entre los factores climáticos sobre todo con la temperatura y la velocidad del viento. Se destaca la importancia de considerar factores microclimáticos del sitio para aplicar planes de manejo más efectivo de D. citri.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract. Valencia orange production is affected by Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, 1908 in the Concá Valley, Arroyo Seco, Querétaro, Mexico. To better understand this problem, the temporal abundance of D. citri was determined and correlated with climatic variables in the crop. The study was carried out between 2019 and 2022. To monitor D. citri adults, 20 yellow sticky traps were used per orchard, which were replaced, and the number of adults was recorded every 14 days. D. citri adult counts were carried out in the CIDAF-UAQ Natural Resources Management and Conservation laboratory. Climatic variables were recorded in each orchard using a Hobbo Data Logger. The means of captured adults were analyzed with the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, then the nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis test was applied, additionally a generalized linear mixed model was performed. The spatial autocorrelation of abundance in the orchards was carried out using the Morán index to observe the relationship between abundance and climatic factors the Kernel distribution and a cross-correlation analysis were performed. All statistical analyses were performed in R software, version 4.3.1. The results confirmed the presence of D. citri in the Concá Valley during the four years of the study. There was no consistent population fluctuation pattern each year, the distribution of insects in the orchards is random, with significant differences between them, the abundance of D citri is variable in time scale and a correlation was observed between climatic factors, especially with temperature and wind speed. The importance of considering microclimatic factors of the site to apply more effective management plans for D. citri is highlighted.]]></p></abstract>
