<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S0065-17372022000100128&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S0065-17372022000100128&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S0065-17372022000100128&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En años recientes los escarabajos ambrosiales (Curculionidae: Scolytinae) han cobrado relevancia por la amenaza que representan para el cultivo de aguacate, las especies Xyleborus glabratus y su agente simbionte Raffaelea lauricola (Ophiostomatales: Ophiostomataceae), así como el complejo de especies de Euwallacea fornicatus y su patógeno asociado Fusarium euwallaceae (Hypocreales: Nectriaceae), especies reglamentadas para México. Dentro del complejo de E. fornicatus se encuentra Euwallacea kuroshio, una especie que en 2016 fue reportada en Tijuana, Baja California. Por lo anterior, es importante conocer la diversidad de estos barrenadores que tienen el potencial de afectar distintos hospederos vegetales, entre los que se encuentra el aguacate. Además, de presentarse R. lauricola y F. euwallaceae, las especies nativas podrían ser vectores secundarios y hospederos de enemigos naturales. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar los parasitoides asociados a especies de escarabajos ambrosiales y descortezadores nativos de Persea americana de los cultivares Hass, Booth 8 y Choquette en los municipios de Xalisco, Tepic y San Blas, en Nayarit. El método empleado fue la recolecta de material vegetal de distintos cultivares de aguacate infestados por el ataque de especies ambrosiales, el cual fue introducido en cubetas modificadas de 20 litros para obtener los escarabajos. Los parasitoides himenópteros obtenidos pertenecen a las familias Braconidae, Eupelmidae y Figitidae, los cuales emergieron de ramas infestadas principalmente por Xyleborus palatus, Pityophthorus sp. y Xyleborus affinis. Se concluye que existen especies de distintas familias y géneros de Hymenoptera: Parasitica que regulan poblaciones de escolítinos ambrosiales y descortezadores en Nayarit.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In recent years, ambrosial beetles (Curculionidae: Scolytinae) have gained relevance due to the threat posed to the avocado crop by the species Xyleborus glabratus and its symbiont agent Raffaelea lauricola (Ophiostomatales: Ophiostomataceae), as well as the Euwallacea fornicatus species complex and its associated pathogen Fusarium euwallaceae (Hypocreales: Nectriaceae), species regulated for Mexico. Within the E. fornicatus complex is Euwallacea kuroshio, a species that in 2016 was reported from Tijuana, Baja California. Therefore, it is important to know the diversity of these borers that have the potential to affect different plant hosts, including avocado. In addition, if R. lauricola and F. euwallaceae are present, native species could be secondary vectors and hosts of natural enemies. The objective of this study was to determine the parasitoids associated with native ambrosial and bark beetle species of Persea americana of Hass, Booth 8 and Choquette cultivars in the municipalities of Xalisco, Tepic and San Blas, Nayarit. The method used was the collection of plant material from different avocado cultivars infested by the attack of ambrosial species, which was introduced in modified 20-liter buckets to obtain the beetles. The hymenopteran parasitoids obtained belong to the families Braconidae, Eupelmidae and Figitidae, which emerged from branches infested mainly by Xyleborus palatus, Pityophthorus sp. and Xyleborus affinis. It is concluded that there are species of different families and genera of Hymenoptera: Parasitica that regulate populations of ambrosial scolytines and bark strippers in Nayarit.]]></p></abstract>
