Depende directamente del sistema nervioso central y de la maduración cerebral. Los recién nacidos prematuros, durante su atención en las unidades de cuidados intensivos, están expuestos a diferentes factores que les impiden tener un apropiado ciclo de sueño-vigilia. En este artículo de revisión se describen algunas intervenciones para mejorar la arquitectura de sueño en los prematuros.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Sleep is one of the most important physiological processes in the first year of life. It directly depends on the central nervous system and brain maturation. Premature newborns, during their care in intensive care units, are exposed to different factors that prevent them from having an appropriate sleep-wake cycle. In this review article, some interventions to improve sleep architecture in premature newborns are described.]]></p></abstract>
