Los DEL's están constituidos por una unión metal-semiconductor formada por un contacto de oro y una película de SP con porosidad de 50%. La longitud de onda de emisión de los dispositivos está situada en la región visible del espectro electromagnético. Se reportan los resultados del estudio de la fotoluminiscencia de las películas de SP y las características de la emisión de los DEL's. El máximo del espectro de emisión fotoluminiscente está situado en 800 nm y para la señal de electroluminiscencia está en 560 nm. El origen de la emisión electroluminiscente se asocia a la recombinación radiativa en el óxido de silicio que recubre los filamentos de SP.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Electroluminescent diodes with emission in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum were developed using thin porous silicon layers (PSL). The device structure consists of a metal-porous silicon junction formed with gold and PSL with porosity of 50%. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra of the PSL and the resulting electroluminescence (EL) spectra of the devices were studied. The maximum of the PL - and EL spectra is located at 800 nm and 560 nm, respectively. The origin of the electro luminescent signal is ascribed to the silicon oxide covering the silicon filaments of the PSL.]]></p></abstract>

Los DEL's est&aacute;n constituidos por una uni&oacute;n metal&#45;semiconductor formada por un contacto de oro y una pel&iacute;cula de SP con porosidad de 50%. La longitud de onda de emisi&oacute;n de los dispositivos est&aacute; situada en la regi&oacute;n visible del espectro electromagn&eacute;tico. Se reportan los resultados del estudio de la fotoluminiscencia de las pel&iacute;culas de SP y las caracter&iacute;sticas de la emisi&oacute;n de los DEL's. El m&aacute;ximo del espectro de emisi&oacute;n fotoluminiscente est&aacute; situado en 800 nm y para la se&ntilde;al de electroluminiscencia est&aacute; en 560 nm.
