El objetivo es calcular el índice de competitividad relativa de los negocios de comercio al por menor de artesanías en México mediante métodos cuantitativos con la finalidad de identificar las diferencias respecto a la entidad federativa. La investigación es cuantitativa, descriptiva, transversal y correlacional, se realizó la compilación de datos de los Censos INEGI (2019) considerando 32 estados. Los resultados indican que Jalisco, Oaxaca y Quintana Roo concentran el mayor porcentaje de comercios. El indicador de competitividad comparada revela que el (3.13%) representado por Baja California Sur obtiene un nivel muy alto, (3.13%) correspondiente a Jalisco refleja un nivel alto, el (9.38%) integrado por Nayarit, Nuevo León y Quintana Roo indican un nivel medio, mientras que el resto de las entidades federativas (84.38%) presentan un nivel bajo. La prueba estadística Rho Spearman revela la existencia de una correlación muy alta y positiva entre la ventaja por productividad y la competitividad relativa, mientras que entre la ventaja por salarios y la competitividad relativa la relación es alta y positiva. La principal limitación es que los datos son del año 2019 y el análisis solamente considera tres variables representativas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Craft trade organizations are fundamental in the productive sector, due to the social, economic and cultural impact they generate, it is a priority to strengthen their preservation, growth and competitiveness. The objective is to calculate the relative competitiveness index of handicraft retail businesses in Mexico through quantitative methods in order to identify the differences with respect to the federal entity. The research is quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational, information was collected by compiling data from INEGI Census (2019) considering 32 states. The results show that Jalisco, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo concentrate the highest percentage of businesses. The comparative competitiveness indicator shows that Baja California Sur presents a very high level (3.13%), Jalisco high (3.13%), Nayarit, Nuevo León and Quintana Roo medium (9.38%) and the rest of the states low (84.38%). The Rho Spearman statistical test indicates the existence of a very high and positive correlation between productivity advantage and relative competitiveness, while the relationship between wage advantage and relative competitiveness is high and positive.
