<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2395-87152017000200101&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2395-87152017000200101&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2395-87152017000200101&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La situación económica que priva en el país ejerce presión para que las pequeñas y medianas empresas (que componen más de 90% de las existentes en México) adopten el uso de tecnologías de información y comunicación con el fin de activar sus procesos, de participar en la generación de innovación y de obtener información más veraz, oportuna y confiable que conlleve a la generación de valor para la propia empresa. En ese sentido se desarrolló un modelo explicativo para validar la hipótesis: un alto nivel de utilización de las tecnologías de información y comunicación, promueve un alto nivel en el porcentaje de ingreso en las pequeñas y medianas empresas exportadoras de Mérida, Yucatán. La recolección de datos se basó&#769; en una encuesta aplicada mediante una cédula de entrevista a propietarios, gerentes y administradores de 96 de estas empresas de los sectores primario y secundario, obteniéndose tres modelos estadísticos con base en un análisis de regresión múltiple. Los resultados revelan en los modelos econométricos desarrollados, que tres fueron las variables que destacaron: el porcentaje de personal que utiliza Internet, el número de ordenadores conectados a Internet y el sistema computarizado de reserva; los indicadores obtenidos confirman, de acuerdo con los principios de las teorías de la empresa y del entorno, que el porcentaje de ingreso en estas empresas se explica satisfactoriamente por el grado de utilización de las tecnologías de información y comunicación. Se concluye que el uso adecuado de las TIC en la mayoría de las PYMES exportadoras de la ciudad de Mérida las está convirtiendo en una herramienta efectiva que están utilizando para fortalecer sus ventajas competitivas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The economic situation which deprives the country puts pressure so that small and medium-sized enterprises (which make up more than 90% of those existing in Mexico) adopted the use of information and communication technologies in order to activate their processes, participate in the generation of innovation and obtaining more accurate, timely and reliable information that may lead to the generation of value for the company. In that sense, an explanatory model was developed to validate the hypothesis: A high level of use of information and communication technologies, with leads to a high level in the percentage of income in small and medium exporting company of Yucatan. Data collection was based on a survey by means of a schedule of interview with owners and managers of 96 of these companies in the primary and secondary sectors, resulting in three statistical models based on multiple regression analysis. Results reveal in developed econometric models, three were the variables that stood out: the percentage of personnel using Internet, the number of computers connected to the Internet and computerized reservation system; the indicators obtained confirmed, according to the principles of the theories of the enterprise and the environment, that the Percentage of Income in these companies is satisfactorily explained by the extent of use of the Information and communication Technologies. It is concluded that the proper use of ICT in the majority of exporting SMEs in the city of Mérida is turning them into an effective tool that they are using to strengthen its competitive advantages.]]></p></abstract>
