Sin embargo, en la etapa de montaje de un diferencial, la razón principal es predecir las emisiones de ruido y reducirlo mediante el ajuste de las distancias de montaje antes de la etapa final de ensamble. Cuando se ensambla un sistema de engranes cónicos espirales o hipoidales en la carcasa, usualmente pueden ajustarse 2 variables:    La distancia de montaje de la corona (Ajuste del juego entre dientes).  La distancia de montaje del piñón (Ajuste del marcado de huella y consecuentemente el comportamiento de funcionamiento). El objetivo del presente documento es proporcionar una técnica que determine la distancia del montaje axial de la corona del engranaje cónico de un diferencial automotriz, donde, el juego entre dientes este dentro de las tolerancias establecidas por diseño con la finalidad de establecer las calzas de ajustes del diferencial, sin depender de la destreza de un operador. Para esto, por medio de un análisis de regresión se busca establecer la relación entre desplazamiento axial y juego entre dientes. Una vez encontrada la posición de montaje óptima, es posible determinar las calzas de ajuste para el ensamble del diferencial de manera sistemática, además, con esta metodología se pretende reducir los retrabajos en una línea de ensamble por una mala selección de calzas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract There are many reasons for the control of spiral and hypoidal bevel gears in production, such as production monitoring and quality documentation of manufactured gears. However, in the stage of mounting a differential, the main reason is to predict the noise emissions and reduce it by adjusting the mounting distance before the final stage of assembly. When a system of spiral or hypoidal bevel gears is assembled in the housing, usually 2 variables can be adjusted:    The mounting distance of the crown (adjustment of the play between teeth).  The mounting distance of the pinion (Adjustment of the marking of the fingerprint and consequently the operating behaviour). The objective of this document is to provide a technique that determines the optimum mounting position of the wheel gear of an automotive differential, where, the backlash is within the tolerances established by design, in order to establish the shims of differential adjustments, without depending on the skill of the operator. For this, by means of a regression analysis, the relationship between wheel axial displacement and backlash, is established. Once the optimum mounting position has been found, it is possible to determine the adjusting shims for the differential assembly in a systematic way; in addition, this methodology aims to reduce rework in an assembly line by a bad shimming.]]></p></abstract>
