<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-90282025000300021&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-90282025000300021&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-90282025000300021&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen El objetivo fue evaluar la materia seca (MS, %), materia orgánica (MO, %), proteína cruda (PC, %), volumen fraccional de gas total (Vf, mL g&#8722;1MS), volumen máximo de gas total (Vm, mL g&#8722;1MS), tasa de producción de gas total (S, h&#8722;1) y pH final de la fermentación ruminal in vitro del follaje y fruto de Acacia farnesiana, Acacia polyacantha, Bauhinia variegata, Cassia fistula, Delonix regia, Erythrina coralloides, Jacaranda mimosifolia, Leucaena leucocephala, Moringa oleifera, Pithecellobium dulce y Prosopis laevigata. La especie J. mimosifolia presentó los valores más bajos de PC (0.6% y 3.8%) en ambos componentes morfológicos, mientras que M. oleifera y L. leucocephala obtuvieron los valores más altos (31.2% y 24%) en follaje y fruto, respectivamente. En el gas total, el follaje de M. oleifera, J. mimosifolia y C. fistula obtuvo los valores más altos (p &#8804; 0.05) de Vm y los más bajos (p &#8804; 0.05) de S junto con B. variegata y A. polyacantha, mientras que en Vf se presentaron variaciones (p &#8804; 0.05) a través del tiempo. En fruto, A. farnesiana y P. laevigata obtuvieron los valores más altos (p &#8804; 0.05) de Vm, y la S fue mayor en P. laevigata, mientras que en Vf hubo diferencias entre especies durante la fermentación. En conclusión, la PC presentó mayor grado de variabilidad tanto para el follaje como para el fruto, y la producción de gas total fue variable entre todas las especies estudiadas y se observó una asociación negativa con el pH.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective was to evaluate dry matter (DM, %), organic matter (OM, %), crude protein (PC, %), fractional volume of total gas (Vf, mL g&#8722;1MS), maximum volume of total gas (Vm , mL g&#8722;1 DM), total gas production rate (S, h&#8722;1) and final pH of the in vitrorumen fermentation of the foliage and fruit of Acacia farnesiana, Acacia polyacantha, Bauhinia variegata, Cassia fistula, Delonix regia, Erythrina coralloides, Jacaranda mimosifolia, Leucaena leucocephala, Moringa oleifera, Pithecellobium dulce and Prosopis laevigata. The species J. mimosifolia presented the lowest CP values (0.6% and 3.8%) in both morphological components, while M. oleifera and L. leucocephala obtained the highest values (31.2% and 24%) in foliage and fruit. respectively. In the total gas, the foliage of M. oleifera, J. mimosifolia and C. fistula obtained the highest values (p &#8804; 0.05) of Vm and the lowest (p &#8804; 0.05) of S together with B. variegata and A. polyacantha, while in Vf there were variations (p &#8804; 0.05) over time. In fruit, A. farnesiana and P. laevigata obtained the highest values (p &#8804; 0.05) of Vm, and S was higher in P. laevigata, while in Vf there were differences between species during fermentation. In conclusion, PC presented a greater degree of variability for both foliage and fruit, and total gas production was variable among all the species studied and a negative association with pH was observed.]]></p></abstract>
