No obstante, un análisis sobre las relaciones entre las DD contra la productividad y las pérdidas agrícolas no se ha explorado. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la relación entre DD con la productividad y pérdidas de los 10 cultivos más valiosos en los 12 municipios más productivos del Estado durante el periodo 2003-2022. Para ello se correlacionaron datos de producción contra DD a nivel municipal mediante la prueba de Spierman (P &#8804; 0.05). Los resultados indican que el cultivo con mayor superficie siniestrada es el maíz, con significancia estadística para ciclones tropicales, lluvias, inundaciones y sequía. El cultivo con la mayor pérdida económica estimada es la piña, que tuvo significancia estadística con inundaciones. Mientras que la caña de azúcar, que proporciona el valor más alto a nivel estatal, tiene la menor correlación con DD. Se concluye que los 10 cultivos de mayor valor estatal son vulnerables a los fenómenos hidrometeorológicos en los 12 municipios más productivos, con las mayores implicaciones en los cultivos de mayor valor por superficie de cosecha. Los municipios del norte, con mayor producción de cítricos, café y papa son más vulnerables a ciclones tropicales y lluvias, mientras que los municipios del sur, con mayor producción de piña, caña de azúcar y chile verde, son más vulnerables a ciclones, lluvias e inundaciones.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Seasonal crops are more susceptible to hydrometeorological phenomena, and the Veracruz state is vulnerable to them since many disaster or emergency declarations (DD) are registered. However, an analysis of these phenomena and the agricultural productivity and losses linked to them has yet to be explored. This research aims to determine the effects of DD on the productivity and losses of the ten more valuable of the 12 more productive municipalities of the state during the 2003-2022 period. Municipal production data against disaster or emergency declaration (DD) were correlated with the Spierman test (P &#8804; 0.05). Results indicate that corn has the most damaged land, statistically significant for tropical cyclones, rains, floods, and droughts. Pineapple has the highest economic losses, which are statistically significant with floods. Sugar cane, which has the highest state value, is also the less vulnerable to DD. It is concluded that the ten more valuable crops are vulnerable to the hydrometeorological phenomena in the 12 more productive municipalities, with the higher implications in crops with higher value by surface. With higher citrus, coffee, and potato production in the north, they are more vulnerable to tropical cyclones and rains. At the same time, in the south, with higher production of sugar cane and pineapple, they are more susceptible to tropical cyclones, rains, and floods.]]></p></abstract>
