Bruggemann considera que esta dimensión cualitativa contiene formas distintas de satisfacción, las cuales, dentro de la educación superior pública en México, han sido poco exploradas, en comparación con los análisis en el sector sanitario. Identificar el grado, intensidad y la forma de la satisfacción laboral de los profesores de la Escuela Superior de Cómputo (ESCOM) del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) es, por tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación. El estudio, de enfoque mixto, tuvo un alcance explicativo y un diseño transeccional. La recolección de datos se verificó en abril de 2023, a través del Cuestionario de Satisfacción Laboral de Bruggemann et al. (1974), y la técnica de entrevista semiestructurada. Con una muestra de 40 académicos encuestados y 9 entrevistados, los resultados revelaron que, si bien, el 88% de los profesores experimentaban satisfacción en el trabajo, es decir, se sentían felices y cómodos en ESCOM, dicho índice contiene formas progresivas, estables y resignadas. Mientras que la insatisfacción laboral identificada fue de tipo constructiva. Se concluye que una forma estable de satisfacción inhibe la innovación educativa; por lo tanto, la gestión directiva enfrenta el reto de reincorporar al docente con dicha condición a todas las actividades académicas para consolidar el trabajo académico de ESCOM.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Job satisfaction is assumed as a subjective and continuous evaluation that professors make of their work based on their expectations, needs, and desires. Bruggemann considers this qualitative dimension encompasses diverse forms of satisfaction, remains underexplored within the context of public higher education in Mexico. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify the degree, intensity, and form of job satisfaction of the professors of the Escuela Superior de Cómputo [Higher School of Computer Science] (ESCOM) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional [National Polytechnic Institute] (IPN). The mixed method research had an explanatory scope and a cross-sectional design, collecting data in April 2023 through Bruggemann et al. (1974) Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The sample was of 40 surveyed and 9 interviewees professors, results revealed that, although 88% of professors reported a level of job satisfaction it encompassed progressive, stable, and resigned forms. Constructive dissatisfaction was also identified. It is concluded that a stable form of satisfaction inhibits educational innovation, posing a challenge for managerial leadership to reintegrate such teachers into all academic activities to consolidate ESCOM´s academic work.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo A satisfação no trabalho é uma avaliação subjetiva e contínua que os funcionários fazem de seu trabalho com base em suas expectativas, necessidades e desejos. Bruggemann acredita que essa dimensão qualitativa abrange distintas formas de satisfação, que, no ensino superior público mexicano, têm sido pouco exploradas em comparação com análises no setor da saúde. Portanto, o objetivo desta pesquisa é identificar o grau, a intensidade e a forma de satisfação no trabalho entre docentes da Escola Superior de Cómputo (ESCOM) do Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). O estudo, com abordagem mista, teve escopo explicativo e delineamento transversal. A coleta de dados ocorreu em abril de 2023, utilizando o Questionário de Satisfação no Trabalho de Bruggemann et al. (1974) e a técnica de entrevista semiestruturada. Com uma amostra de 40 acadêmicos pesquisados e 9 entrevistados, os resultados revelaram que, embora 88% dos docentes tenham experimentado satisfação no trabalho - ou seja, se sentiam felizes e confortáveis na ESCOM -, esse índice contém formas progressivas, estáveis e resignadas. Enquanto isso, a insatisfação no trabalho identificada foi construtiva. Conclui-se que uma forma estável de satisfação inibe a inovação educacional; portanto, a gestão enfrenta o desafio de reincorporar docentes com essa condição em todas as atividades acadêmicas para consolidar o trabalho acadêmico da ESCOM.]]></p></abstract>
