<self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2007-24222020000400101&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2007-24222020000400101&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://www.scielo.org.mx/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2007-24222020000400101&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen En el sector norte de la ciudad de Bucaramanga, Colombia, las unidades geológicas presentan una configuración litoestratigráfica compleja, con variaciones texturales que involucran un amplio rango granulométrico y porcentaje de matriz variable, siendo de interés su caracterización hidroestratigráfica no desarrollada localmente. Con el objetivo de comprender el sistema agua-suelo, se elaboró un modelo geométrico hidroestratigráfico, a partir de la relación de litofacies e hidrofacies, y la correlación de secciones geológicas, implementando la herramienta on-line Geomodelr. Mediante datos cartográficos recopilados y con el empleo de sondeos y núcleos de perforación de 100 a 150 m de profundidad, se distinguieron y clasificaron cuatro hidrofacies, su distribución y continuidad lateral respectiva, siguiendo una metodología de extensión 3D. El modelo se calibró con información piezométrica y geoeléctrica, evaluando las características geológicas que definen el flujo subterráneo real, con una distribución preferencial general de segmentos gravosos de interés hidrogeológico; segmentos arenosos y arcillosos que, sumados al marco estructural, exhiben las características hidroestratigráficas del área. La generación de un modelo tridimensional de esta índole permite, además de visualizar la distribución de las unidades, determinar el complejo sistema hidrogeológico que conforma el sector, con información de estratigrafía complementada con datos geofísicos y piezométricos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In the northern sector of the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia, the geological units present a complex lithostratigraphic configuration, with textural variations that involve a wide granulometric range and percentage of variable matrix, being of interest its hydrostratigraphic characterization, not locally developed. In order to understand the water-soil system, a hydrostratigraphic geometric model was elaborated through the relationship of lithofacies and hydrofacies and correlation of geological sections, through the online tool Geomodelr. With collected cartographic data and the use of drill cores at a depth of 100 to 150 m, four hydrofacies were distinguished and classified with their respective distribution and lateral continuity, following a 3D extension methodology. The model was calibrated with piezometric and geoelectric information, evaluating the geological characteristics that define the actual underground flow, with a general preferential distribution of gravelly segments of hydrogeological interest, sandy and clayey segments that, added to the structural framework, exhibit the hydrostratigraphic characteristics of the area. The generation of a three-dimensional model of this kind allows, in addition to visualizing the distribution of the units, the determination of the complex hydrogeological system that makes up the sector, with stratigraphic information supplemented with geophysical and piezometric data.]]></p></abstract>
