Crous &amp; Braun es una de las enfermedades más comunes del frijol, reduce hasta 80% de la cosecha si las condiciones climáticas le son favorables. El mejoramiento genético para la resistencia a esta enfermedad es una de las estrategias más efectiva mediante una de las formas más eficientes para controlar esta enfermedad es la introducción de resistencia genética mediada por la selección asistida por marcadores moleculares. Por ello el objetivo de este trabajo fue identificar genotipos de frijol (Phaseolus vulgaris) con resistencia a mancha angular en variedades mexicanas y líneas de frijol negro, bayo y rojo. Para ello se usaron ocho marcadores moleculares específicos de tipo SCAR y se determinó la correlación entre la presencia de los marcadores y la resistencia de cada genotipo medida por inoculación con dos cepas del hongo de diferentes regiones fisiográficas en condiciones de invernadero. Las variedades Negro Comapa, Negro Cotaxtla, Negro Papaloapan, Ouro Negro y las líneas avanzadas de frijol Negro SEN 56, SEN 26 y SCN 7 fueron resistentes a mancha angular, mientras que Bayo Azteca, Bayo INIFAP, las líneas de frijol rojo SCR 13 y SER 83, así como las líneas de frijol negro SEN 44 y SEN 70, fueron susceptibles. En general, los genotipos con mayor resistencia presentaron los marcadores CV542014, SAA19, SM02 y SN02. Aunque los materiales genéticos fueron heterogéneos, estos marcadores moleculares considerados como asociados con genes de efectos aditivos podrían apoyar la selección de genotipos resistentes a P. griseola y las acciones de los programas de mejoramiento para la obtención de nuevas variedades resistentes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Angular leaf spot caused by Pseudocercospora griseola (Sacc.) Crous &amp; Braun is one of the most common diseases of beans, reducing up to 80% of the harvest if weather conditions are favorable. Genetic improvement for resistance to this disease is one of the most effective strategies. One of the most efficient ways to control this disease is the introduction of genetic resistance mediated by molecular marker-assisted selection. Therefore, the present work aimed to identify genotypes of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) with resistance to angular leaf spot in Mexican varieties and lines of black, bay, and red beans. To this end, eight specific molecular markers of the SCAR type were used and the correlation between the presence of the markers and the resistance of each genotype measured by inoculation with two strains of the fungus from different physiographic regions under greenhouse conditions was determined. The varieties Negro Comapa, Negro Cotaxtla, Negro Papaloapan, Ouro Negro and the advanced lines of black beans SEN 56, SEN 26, and SCN 7 were resistant to angular leaf spot; in contrast, Bayo Azteca, Bayo INIFAP, the red bean lines SCR 13 and SER 83, as well as the black bean lines SEN 44 and SEN 70 were susceptible. In general, the genotypes with the highest resistance presented the markers CV542014, SAA19, SM02, and SN02. Although the genetic materials were heterogeneous, these molecular markers, considered to be associated with genes with additive effects, could support the selection of P. griseola resistant genotypes and the actions of breeding programs to obtain new resistant varieties.]]></p></abstract>
