Se calculó el índice de importancia cultural (Cls) y frecuencia relativa de citación (CFR) de los hongos comestibles silvestres. Se determinó el índice de presencia relativa de especies en el tianguis (PRET). La recolección, consumo y venta de los hongos inician con el ciclo de lluvias de julio a octubre. Los hombres y mujeres forman dos grupos diferentes en la recolección de hongos. Se identificaron 16 especies de las más recolectadas y consumidas por ambos grupos; estas especies tienen el puntaje más alto del Cls, se caracterizan porque son las más buscadas y algunas tienen un mayor precio en el mercado. Las personas con limitación económica ofrecen los hongos en menos de $50.00 MXN en comparación con los puestos de venta que triplican el precio. Los jóvenes del grupo dos recolectan cuatro días a la semana. Durante la temporada de venta se registró la dinámica de la venta de 31 hongos comestibles silvestres en el tianguis de San Antonio Acahualco. Los hongos son recolectados por ser una alternativa para el sustento familiar a través del consumo y venta. La comercialización se realiza al interior del poblado y en ciudades más próximas. Se concluye que la forma de recolección determina la conservación del hábitat de los hongos. Por lo tanto, se recomienda establecer reglas de recolección debido a la importancia ecológica, alimentaría y económica de los hongos.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This research scored the traditional knowledge, the way of collecting, consuming, and selling wild edible mushrooms in the community of San Antonio Acahualco, State of Mexico, Mexico. The index of cultural importance (Cls) and relative frequency of citation (CFR) of wild edible mushrooms were calculated. The index of relative presence of species in the market (PRET) was determined. The collection, consumption, and sale of mushrooms begins with the rainy season starting in July through October. Men and women participate form two different groups in the collection of mushrooms. It were identified sixteen species as the most collect and consumed by both groups; these species have the highest score of the Cls, characterized by being the most sought after and some have a higher price in the market. People with economic limitations offer mushrooms for less than $50.00 MXN compared to the stores that increase the price three times. The youth in group two collect four days a week. During the sales season, the sales dynamics of 31 wild edible mushrooms were recorded at the San Antonio Acahualco market. Mushrooms are collected as an alternative for family sustenance through consumption and sale. They are sold within the town and in nearby cities. It is concluded that the method of collection determines the conservation of the mushrooms&#8217; habitat. It is recommended to establish rules for collection due to the ecological, nutritional and economic importance of mushrooms.]]></p></abstract>
