En México, uno de los modos de atención a estas problemáticas ha sido a través de la generación de cambios en la gobernanza de los recursos mediante las políticas públicas. La Ley General de Pesca y Acuacultura Sustentable (LGPAS) regula la actividad pesquera y acuícola en el país por medio de 152 artículos, describiendo las facultades y obligaciones del Estado, así como los principales actores involucrados y propone fundar sus acciones a través de herramientas internacionales.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The overexploitation of marine resources leads to their scarcity, leaving coastal communities as the main vulnerable actors in terms of food and social security. In Mexico, one of the ways of addressing these problems has been through the generation of changes in the governance of resources through public policies. The General Law of Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture (LGPAS) regulates the fishing and aquaculture activity in the country through 152 articles describing the powers and obligations of the State, as well as the main actors involved and proposes to base its actions through international tools.]]></p></abstract>
