Metodología:  Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, analítico, longitudinal y retrospectivo. Se incluyeron todos los pacientes con diagnóstico de choque hemorrágico durante el periodo de enero de 2016 a mayo de 2017 en el que se recabaron 27 pacientes. Para el análisis de los resultados, se utilizaron medidas de tendencia central, pruebas de significancia, sensibilidad y especificidad de cada una de las pruebas.  Resultados:  Se observó que al valorar la sensibilidad y especificidad del déficit de base y del delta de CO2, este último tuvo una sensibilidad de 76% y especificidad de 40%, en comparación con el déficit de base con sensibilidad 70% y especificidad 50%.  Conclusiones:  En este estudio no se encontró diferencia estadísticamente significativa como factor pronóstico entre el delta de CO2 y el déficit de base en el seguimiento de la reanimación del choque hemorrágico. Las dos pruebas presentan buena sensibilidad; sin embargo, tienen poca especificidad, por lo que, en el manejo de la reanimación del choque hemorrágico, no se podrán utilizar de forma aislada con estos biomarcadores. Las complicaciones del choque hemorrágico encontradas fueron lesión pulmonar aguda, lesión renal y disfunción cardiovascular.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  Objective:  Demonstrate that the baseline deficit is a better prognostic factor than the CO2 delta to assess the complications of hemorrhagic shock.  Methodology:  An observational, descriptive, analytical, longitudinal and retrospective study was performed. This study included all patients diagnosed with hemorrhagic shock during the period from January 2016 to May 2017, where 27 patients were collected. For the analysis of the results we used measures of central tendency, tests of significance, sensitivity and specificity of each one of the tests.  Results:  It was observed that the sensitivity and specificity of the baseline and CO2 delta deficits were 76% and 40% specificity compared to base deficit with 70% sensitivity and 50% specificity.  Conclusions:  In this study, no statistically significant difference was found as a predictive factor between the CO2 delta and the baseline deficit in the follow-up of the resuscitation of hemorrhagic shock. The two tests have good sensitivity, however they have little specificity, so in the management of resuscitation of hemorrhagic shock can not be used in isolation. Complications of hemorrhagic shock were acute lung injury, renal injury, and cardiovascular dysfunction.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo:  Objetivo:  Demonstrar que o déficit de base é melhor fator prognóstico do que o gradiente de CO2 para avaliar as complicações do choque hemorrágico.  Metodologia:  Realizou-se um estudo observacional, descritivo, analítico, longitudinal e retrospectivo. Foram incluídos 27 pacientes com diagnóstico de choque hemorrágico durante o período de janeiro de 2016 a maio de 2017. Para a análise dos resultados, utilizamos medidas de tendência central, testes de significância, sensibilidade e especificidade de cada um dos testes.  Resultados:  Observou-se que ao avaliar a sensibilidade e especificidade do déficit de base e do gradiente de CO2, este último apresentou sensibilidade de 76% e especificidade de 40% em relação ao déficit de base com sensibilidade de 70% e especificidade de 50%.  Conclusões:  Neste estudo não houve diferença estatisticamente significativa como fator prognóstico entre o gradiente de CO2 e o déficit basal no seguimento da ressuscitação do choque hemorrágico. Os dois testes apresentam boa sensibilidade, porém possuem pouca especificidade, portanto no manejo da ressuscitação do choque hemorrágico não podem ser utilizados isoladamente com esses biomarcadores. As complicações do choque hemorrágico encontradas foram lesão pulmonar aguda, lesão renal e disfunção cardiovascular.]]></p></abstract>
