Para ello, toma en cuenta los debates pedagógicos relativos a la ciudadanía y su enseñanza en el marco de los procesos globales de reforma escolar. Recolecta los diseños curriculares vigentes y considera sólo aquellos que cada estado provincial ha aprobado, pero cubre los diferentes niveles de gobierno y de concreciones curriculares que presenta Argentina. Así, identifica y analiza los debates contemporáneos y contempla las improntas históricas a la luz de la circulación trasnacional de modelos de educación para la ciudadanía y las complejidades que dicha transferencia internacional conlleva. Esta recuperación no tiene paralelo en el país austral, ya que discute los diseños curriculares vigentes en las jurisdicciones provinciales, y sus diferencias en lo que atañe a los contenidos relativos a la Constitución Nacional y de sus implicaciones para la educación ciudadana. Como principal hallazgo, resalta que la alfabetización constitucional en Argentina resulta desigual, ya que se destacan los marcos jurídicos locales e internacionales por sobre el régimen constitucional federal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article focuses on the curricular definitions of citizenship education at the secondary level in the Argentine provinces; these educational contents have been included into the curricula since the creation of the modern schooling systems. It considers the pedagogical debates related to citizenship and its teaching within the global processes of school reform. It collects the current compulsory education curricular designs for citizenship education; considering only the curriculum designs for the secondary level that each provincial State has approved, but comprehending the different levels of government and curricular definitions presented by the Argentine State. Thus, it analyzes the contemporary debates, as well as the historical imprints derived from the transnational circulation of citizenship education models, and the complexities that such international policy transfers have had. There is no similar survey in the southern country, since it discusses the current curricular designs in the provincial States, with regard to the contents related to the National Constitution, and its implications for citizenship education. Its main finding is that constitutional education in Argentina is unequal since local and international legal frameworks are emphasized over the federal constitutional regime.]]></p></abstract>
