La telesimulación es una estrategia educativa que utiliza las telecomunicaciones y la simulación con fines de entrenamiento y evaluación fuera de un centro de simulación.  Método:  El objetivo de este estudio fue explorar la percepción que tuvieron los docentes durante la planeación, desarrollo e implementación de una estrategia educativa a través de telesimulación para desarrollar competencias clínicas en estudiantes de pregrado. Para tal efecto, realizamos un estudio cualitativo a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas.  Resultados:  Un total de 7 profesores fueron entrevistados. Los participantes opinaron que durante la pandemia por SARS-CoV2, la telesimulación es una herramienta valiosa para desarrollar el pensamiento crítico, toma de decisiones, manejo de la información y profesionalismo; sin embargo, reconocieron que su utilidad puede ser limitada para desarrollar habilidades procedimentales. Durante el desarrollo e implementación enfrentaron falta de tiempo, dificultades tecnológicas e incertidumbre y desconfianza de los estudiantes ante una nueva estrategia educativa.  Conclusiones:  La telesimulación es una herramienta útil para el desarrollo de competencias clínicas. La implementación de esta estrategia enfrenta dificultades similares a las que se presentan durante cualquier innovación educativa.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT  Background:  SARS-CoV2 pandemic generated important changes in educational environment and, derived from social distancing for containment COVID-19, face-to-face activities in undergraduate students were suspended. Telesimulation is an educational strategy that uses telecommunications and simulation for to train and evaluate students outside a simulation center.  Method:  This study aimed to explore teacher&#8217;s perception during planning, development and implementation of a strategy telesimulation to develop clinical skills in undergraduate students. For this purpose, we conducted a qualitative study through semi-structured interviews.  Results:  A total of 7 teachers were interviewed. Participants believed during SARS-CoV2 pandemic, telesimulation is a valuable tool to develop critical thinking, decision-making, information management and professionalism; however, they recognized its usefulness may be limited in developing procedural skills. During development and implementation, they faced lack of time, technological difficulties and uncertainty and mistrust of students before a new educational strategy.  Conclusions:  Telesimulation is a useful tool for development of clinical skills. The implementation of this strategy faces difficulties similar to those that arise during any educational innovation.]]></p></abstract>
