El documento se organiza en tres secciones: introducción, en la cual se establece como objeto de estudio al personal docente universitario; le sigue un desarrollo, que se conforma por dos secciones específicas: la justificación teórica de las tipologías (herramientas explicativas) en las ciencias sociales, donde se recuperan las distintas propuestas tipológicas del profesorado por horas mediante una revisión crítica de la literatura como estrategia metodológica; de forma paralela, se cuestiona la ausencia de evidencia de esta naturaleza para el caso de la Universidad de Guadalajara, para inmediatamente presentar una propuesta analítica, cuyo fin es incentivar futuras investigaciones sobre el tema. Por último, las conclusiones y reflexiones, apartado que se compone con las respuestas a las preguntas detalladas en la primera parte de este escrito.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o papel do desenho de tipologias em torno do grupo docente no ensino superior, com ênfase no corpo docente de tempo parcial. O documento está organizado em três seções: introdução, na qual se estabelece o corpo docente universitário como objeto de estudo; Segue-se um desenvolvimento, composto por duas seções específicas: a justificação teórica de tipologias (ferramentas explicativas) nas ciências sociais e a recuperação das diferentes propostas tipológicas dos professores por horas por meio de uma revisão crítica da literatura como estratégia metodológica; Ao mesmo tempo, questiona-se a ausência de evidências dessa natureza para o caso da Universidade de Guadalajara, a fim de apresentar imediatamente uma proposta analítica, cujo objetivo é incentivar futuras pesquisas sobre o tema. Por fim, as conclusões e reflexões, seção que é composta pelas respostas às questões detalhadas na primeira parte deste artigo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The purpose of this paper is to analyze the potential role of establishing typologies for higher education teaching staff, with emphasis on part-time faculty. The article is structured in three sections: introduction, in which university teaching staff is defined as the object of study; followed by a presentation of two specific sections: the theoretical argumentation of typologies (explanatory tools) in the social sciences, and the different typological approaches to part-time teaching staff through a rigorous review of the literature as a methodological strategy; parallelly, the authors question the lack of that kind of evidence dealing with the University of Guadalajara, and present an analytical proposal, whose purpose is to encourage future research on the subject. Finally, they present conclusions and reflections, a section that is made up of the answers to the questions detailed in the first part of this paper.]]></p></abstract>
