El código ictus es un protocolo que permite la evaluación inmediata de los sujetos con sospecha de EVC para aplicar oportunamente terapias de reperfusión para EVC isquémico. La finalidad de este trabajo consistió en describir y evaluar la implementación del código en el Hospital Angeles Lindavista. Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo, transversal, descriptivo, desde enero de 2023 hasta junio de 2024, y se analizó descriptivamente los datos de 23 pacientes. El tiempo de evolución al ingreso fue de 10.22 horas y el tiempo puerta-aguja obtenido fue de 1.54 horas, mientras que los resultados de las escalas NIHSS y ASPECTS indicaron que los pacientes presentaron un ictus de moderado a grave con una extensión limitada del infarto cerebral en el ingreso, además de sugerir una recuperación importante tras la intervención. A pesar de los resultados, las variaciones entre cada parámetro indican que se requiere una mejora continua para la optimización del código en varios puntos analizados en el presente trabajo, aportando evidencia para trabajos posteriores y otros hospitales en donde se busque implementar.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: A cerebrovascular event (CVA) is a condition with a high risk of death and too short a therapeutic window to achieve optimal recovery. The stroke code is a protocol that allows the immediate evaluation of subjects with suspected CVA for timely apply reperfusion therapies for ischemic CVA. The purpose of this work was to describe and evaluate the implementation of the code at the Angeles Lindavista Hospital. A retrospective, cross-sectional, descriptive study was carried out from January 2023 to June 2024, descriptively analyzing the data of 23 patients. The evolution time to admission was 10.22 hours, and the door-to-needle time obtained was 1.54 hours. At the same time, the results of the NIHSS and ASPECTS scales indicated that the patients had a moderate to severe stroke with a limited extension of the cerebral infarction on admission, in addition to suggesting a significant recovery after the intervention. Despite the results, the variations between each parameter indicate that continuous improvement is required for the code optimization at several points analyzed in this work, providing evidence for subsequent work and other hospitals where code ictus searches for implementation.]]></p></abstract>
