Material y métodos:  Se analizó una serie consecutiva de casos sometidos a cirugía artroscópica para identificar la utilidad diagnóstica de la subluxación de la cabeza larga del bíceps y su asociación a ruptura de tendón del subescapular.  Resultados:  De acuerdo con los resultados artroscópicos, la lesión del tendón subescapular estuvo presente únicamente en 21.2% de los casos evaluados. La subluxación de bíceps en resonancia magnética tiene una sensibilidad de 71.4%, mientras que la lesión del ligamento glenohumeral superior (LGHS) es de 85.7%.  Conclusión:  Las imágenes de resonancia magnética nuclear (RMN) preoperatorias que se valoran de forma sistematizada tienen una exactitud diagnóstica de 78.79%.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract:  Introduction:  Subscapularis tendon injuries as part of rotator cuff pathology are difficult to diagnose, the presence of indirect signs such as subluxation of the long head of the biceps are used as diagnostic markers of subscapularis rupture.  Material and methods:  A consecutive series of cases that required arthroscopy surgery were analyzed to identify the diagnostic utility of long head biceps subluxation and its association with subscapularis tendon rupture.  Results:  According to the arthroscopic results, the subscapularis tendon injury was present only in 21.2% of the evaluated cases. The biceps subluxation in magnetic resonance images has a sensitivity of 71.4%, while the superior glenohumeral ligament (SGHL) lesion is 85.7%.  Conclusion:  Preoperative magnetic resonance (MRI) that are evaluated in a systematic way have a diagnostic accuracy of 78.79%.]]></p></abstract>
