Como parte de las estrategias de movilidad virtual de la institución, quienes participaron tomaron una formación en comunicación intercultural. Los resultados indican un incremento, aunque diferenciado, de la competencia comunicativa intercultural, especialmente en las dimensiones de actitudes tales como curiosidad, empatía, flexibilidad y conocimientos. Sin embargo, la falta de participantes de otros países y de colaboración intercultural durante el curso, mermaron su efectividad como estrategia de movilidad virtual.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This qualitative research studies the development of intercultural communicative competence regarding knowledge, attitudes and skills by interviewing five students from a public state university in Mexico. As part of the institution&#8217;s virtual mobility strategies, the participants were trained in intercultural communication. The results reveal an increasing, although differentiated, intercultural communicative competence, especially regarding attitudes such as curiosity, empathy, flexibility, and knowledge. However, the lack of participants from other countries and of intercultural collaboration during the course diminished its effectiveness as a virtual mobility strategy.]]></p></abstract>
