Se probaron dos métodos de desinfección de los sustratos: a) agua con óxido de calcio (CaO) (400 g) y sulfato cálcico hidratado (CaSO4 2H2O) (400 g) más aplicación térmica (T1M y T5S), b) agua con CaO (400 g) y CaSO4 2H2O (400 g) sin aplicación térmica (T2M y T6S), c) agua con hipoclorito de sodio comercial (NaClO) (400 ml) más aplicación térmica (T3M y T7S) y d) agua con NaClO (400 ml) sin aplicación térmica (T4M y T8S), tanto para el rastrojo de maíz como para el rastrojo de sorgo. Se obtuvieron ocho tratamientos, cada uno con cinco repeticiones. La aplicación térmica fue un factor muy importante en la desinfección, debido a que, los tratamientos con este método presentaron menor porcentaje de contaminación (T1M, T3M, T5S y T7S), contario a aquellos que no tenían aplicación térmica, los cuales se contaminaron al 100%; a excepción de T2M con 43%, respecto al total de bolsas sembradas. De los no contaminados se pudo obtener cosechas de carpóforos; se obtuvo mayor cantidad de primordios en T3M (65) y T1M (48), mayor producción de carpóforos en T7S y T3M con un peso total de 87.33 g y 85.25 g en promedio, respectivamente. La longitud del estípite de los carpóforos fue mayor en T7S con 3.94 cm. El diámetro del estípite de los carpóforos fue mayor en T7S con 1 cm. Se recomienda que para la producción de P. ostreatus de manera rústica y a pequeña escala, se utilicen residuos agrícolas disponibles en la región, además, que la desinfección del sustrato sea a través del tratamiento térmico, con adición de NaClO o bien con CaO y CaSO4 2H2O al agua.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate two disinfection methods for corn stover (M) and sorghum straw (S) substrates used as substrates for the production of Pleurotus ostreatus, in a rustic manner. Two substrate disinfection methods were tested: a) water with calcium oxide (CaO) (400 g) and hydrated calcium sulfate (CaSO4 2H2O) (400 g) plus thermal application (T1M and T5S), b) water with CaO (400 g) and CaSO4 2H2O (400 g) without thermal application (T2M and T6S), c) water with commercial sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) (400 ml) plus thermal application (T3M and T7S) and d) water with NaClO (400 ml) without thermal application (T4M and T8S), both for corn stover and sorghum stover. Eight treatments were obtained, each with five replicates. Thermal application was a very important factor in disinfection, because treatments with this method presented a lower percentage of contamination (T1M, T3M, T5S and T7S), contrary to those that did not have thermal application, which were 100% contaminated; except for T2M with 43%, with respect to the total number of bags planted. From the uncontaminated ones, carpophore harvests could be obtained; a greater quantity of primordia was obtained in T3M (65) and T1M (48), greater carpophore production in T7S and T3M with a total weight of 87.33 g and 85.25 g on average, respectively. The length of the carpophore stipe was greater in T7S with 3.94 cm. The diameter of the carpophore stipe was greater in T7S with 1 cm.
