Esta zona usualmente ha sido considerada de origen primario, pero altamente impactada por factores antropogénicos. Se realizó un muestreo sistemático de 6 000 m2, mediante 60 cuadros de 10 x 10 m distribuidos en los diferentes elementos del paisaje de la zona, evaluando mediante estimadores de riqueza la eficacia del muestreo. Asimismo se hicieron colectas libres de las especies más conspicuas y representativas de la zona. Para cada una de las especies registradas se buscó bibliográficamente la caracterización de historia de vida, tipo de dispersión, estrategia de establecimiento y estatus de conservación con base en la NOM-059-ECOL-2010. Se registraron en total 122 especies, pertenecientes a 84 géneros y 44 familias. Las familias mejor representadas fueron Fabaceae (11 spp.), Moraceae (10 spp.) y Asteraceae (7 spp.). Los géneros mejor representados: Ficus (5 spp.) y Smilax (4 spp). Once especies más fueron colectadas fuera de los cuadros de muestreo principalmente del grupo de las Cactaceae. La forma de vida más representativa fueron los árboles, heliófilas, perennes y las de dispersión zoocorica. Este estudio contribuye en el conocimiento de ambientes comúnmente referidos como &#8220;alterados&#8221;, lo cuales son cada vez más comunes en nuestro país. Por ello, es cada vez es más importante conocer su composición y dinámica, para establecer estrategias de conservación de la biodiversidad y servicios ambientales que resguardan.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: We presented a characterization of flora from the palmetto woodland dominated by Sabal mexicana, with distribution to southeast Mexico. This area has usually been considered a primary palmetto woodland, but highly impacted by anthropogenic factors. Although it is a threatened formation, basic information on its plant biodiversity is scant. We made a systematic sampling, covering a total of 6 000 m2 by 60 plots (10 x 10 meach one) distributed in the different stages of the area. In addition we made free collections of the most conspicuous and representative species. For each species recorded we made a literature search of their life history, dispersal type, strategy development and conservation status according to NOM-059-ECOL-2010. We recorded 122 species in total (84 genera and 44 families). The best represented families were Fabaceae (11 spp.), Moraceae (10 spp.) and Asteraceae (7 spp.); the genera were Ficus (5 spp.) and Smilax (4 spp). More than 11 species were collected outside the plots mainly Cactaceae. The life form more representative were trees, heliophytes, perennial species and zoochory dispersión. This study contributes knowledge of environments commonly referred to as "altered".
