El desinterés político ha afectado su implementación; además, la falta de estudios que aborden su funcionamiento ha limitado la comprensión sobre sus alcances y retos. Enfocando el análisis en su arquitectura institucional, este artículo contribuye al entendimiento sobre el diseño y funcionamiento de la LGCC.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Even though the Ley General de Cambio Climático (LGCC) or General Law on Climate Change is internationally recognized for its ambition and innovative nature, and that in Mexico it is the foundation of Mexican policy on the matter. The LGCC has not received due attention, while political disinterest has affected its implementation, the lack of studies addressing its operation has limited understanding of its scope and challenges. Focusing the analysis on its institutional architecture, this article contributes to the understanding of the design and operation of the LGCC.]]></p></abstract>
