Las muestras fueron sintetizadas utilizando la técnica de fusión directa. El análisis químico (EDX) permitió establecer las relaciones estequiométricas de las muestras. El análisis por difracción de rayos-X indica que las fases principales de las aleaciones cristalizan en el sistema tetragonal con parámetros de celda: &#945; = 5.312(1) Å, c = 10.389(2) Å para x = 0.50 y &#945;= 5.314(2) Å, c = 10.393(2) Å para x = 0.75. Estas aleaciones presentan un comportamiento antiferromagnético con temperaturas de Neel de 37 K y 39 K, respectivamente. El ancho de línea EPR de las aleaciones muestran un comportamiento paramagnético entre 100 y 610 K. El campo de resonancia y el factor g muestran una ligera variación con la temperatura. Estos resultados se discuten en términos de los vecinos mas cercanos de los pares de espín-acoplado del Cr+3(S = 3/2).]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The synthesis, structural characterization and magnetic properties of alloy system CuAl1_xCr xS2 (x = 0.50, 0.75) are reported. The samples were synthesized by using the direct fusion technique. The chemical analysis (EDX) confirmed the stoichiometric ratio for the concentrations. The powder diffraction patterns were indexed and the principal phases crystallizes with tetragonal symmetry with unit cell parameters &#945;= 5.312(1) Å, c = 10.389(2) Å for x = 0.50 and &#945;= 5.314(2) Å, c = 10.393(2) Å for x = 0.75. Theses alloys behave as antiferromagnetic, with Neel temperatures of 37 K and 39 K, respectively. The EPR linewidth for these alloys shows a paramagnetic behavior between 100 and 610 K. The resonance field and the g factor show a slight variation with temperature. These results are discussed in terms of nearest-neighbor Cr+3(S = 3/2) spin-coupled pairs.]]></p></abstract>
