En el escenario biomédico ha tenido una particular presencia con desarrollos de sistemas que van desde la generación del conocimiento en la investigación médica hasta las aplicaciones en diferentes áreas de la salud individual y colectiva. Tal es el caso de nuevas herramientas sustentadas en todas sus modalidades en la salud pública, en el área diagnóstica, la imagen, los procesos clínicos médico-quirúrgicos y hasta estrategias de rehabilitación, inclusión y facilitación funcional. No obstante tratarse de un relevante adelanto sustentado en la innovación tecnológica y la transferencia del conocimiento en el manejo de la información, la gestión y la toma de decisiones, es pertinente considerar algunas medidas precautorias razonables a la manera de recomendaciones, con la finalidad de evaluar con toda oportunidad los alcances, la seguridad, y la delimitación de riesgos relacionados con el uso de estas herramientas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Artificial intelligence as a generic concept is present in all activities of daily life in contemporary society. In the biomedical scenario has had a particular presence, with the development of systems ranging from the generation of knowledge in medical research to applications in different areas of individual and collective health. Such is the case of new tools based AI in different modalities, in public health, diagnostics, image, medical and surgical clinical processes, as well as rehabilitation, inclusion and functional facilitation strategies. Despite being a relevant advance based on technological innovation and knowledge transfer for management and decision making, it is pertinent to consider some reasonable precautionary measures as recommendations, to evaluate in a timely manner, the safety, efficacy and risks.]]></p></abstract>
