Estudios de Asia y África is an interdisciplinary journal that began publication in El Colegio de Mexico in January 1966 with the name of Oriental Studies. In January 1975 the name of the magazine changed to the current name without affecting the numbering of volumes and numbers. Currently appears in three issues per year. The journal contains research articles with abstracts in English and Spanish translations of Asian or African languages, analysis of current events, historical documents, articles on current issues, debates and critical book reviews.
