Revista Mexicana de Investigación Educativa (RMIE), is a peer-reviewed academic journal published since 1996 by Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa, as the scientific association of Mexican educational researchers. Appears on a quarterly basis since 1999 and since July 2002 has an electronic version. Since 2001 it is included in the Índice de Revistas Mexicanas de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica of the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT). RMIE aims to contribute to the strengthening of educational research, for what pretends to be a national and Latin American forum of convergence for research on various disciplinary fields, educational levels and modalities; address both long-standing research issues as well as those emerging ones; point out the gaps in national and regional production and possible lines of work not sufficiently developed by researchers; discuss and argue different positions on theoretical and methodological issues in the field of education, and contribute to the dissemination and establishment of quality standards in the products of educational research.
