To the editor, we would like to share ideas on “Impact of the coronavirus disease-19 pandemic on electrophysiological procedures at a national referral center.” Cueva-Parra et al. concluded that “The COVID-19 pandemic considerably affected the number of the procedures in our center, reducing it (...)”¹. We agree that COVID-19 affects clinical practice worldwide. An elective and non-necessary procedure is usually postponed during COVID-19². Telemedical care might be used in many cases². However, decision to perform or not to perform a procedure depends on several factors. Local public health policies play important role³. If there is a complete lockdown and it is not possible to access healthcare facilities, reduction in number of procedures is expected. In the present report, there should be an in depth analysis on the pattern of reduction of procedure in different phase of outbreak. A more reduction might be observed during the period with a peak of COVID-19 outbreak.
