Acta Poetica 's purpose and scope
Acta Poética is a peer-reviewed, open-access semestral journal, which publishes original and translated articles, notes, interviews and reviews, written in Spanish and other languages. Our publication belongs to the Centro de Poética of the Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
The purpose of Acta Poética is to provide an intellectual platform for the scholars of national and international institutions and, hence, to contribute with substantial reflections to the study of literature, literary criticism, and critical theory, regarding aspects of literature and other cultural expressions. Our journal is intended for scholars of literature and other disciplines related to art, culture and society.
The content of Acta Poética reflects the diversity of the Centro de Poética's research lines, in critical theory's inter- and multidisciplinary framework: myth, semantics, semiotics, deconstruction, visual arts, rhetoric, poetics, reception theory, hermeneutics, literary criticism, compared literature, cultural studies, mysticism, philology, the impact of new technologies on discourse, history of literature, film art, photography, architecture, performing arts, music, and their relation to other disciplines such as philosophy, history, sociology and political theory.
Currently, the magazine is published in print and digital formats.
