Reformas de la educación superior en búsqueda de la equidad: un análisis de estrategias, 1996-2006
Un año después de las elecciones presidenciales más competidas y de los resultados más cuestionados desde 1988, existe un aparente consenso político sobre la necesidad de cerrar las brechas sociales, buscando reconstruir la sociedad sobre bases de mayor equidad en oportunidades para toda su población. Si el objetivo de las reformas a la educación superior desde la década de los noventa fue reducir la inequidad en la sociedad brindando oportunidad de calidad para todos mediante el acceso a la educación superior, debemos entonces evitar a todo costo un sistema público de dos niveles.

One year after the most contested and questioned presidential elections since 1988, an apparent political consensus exists concerning the necessity to close social gaps, seeking to reconstruct society upon a more equitable basis of opportunities. If the objective of the reforms of higher education since the nineties was to reduce inequality by making available quality opportunities for all through the access to higher education, then we should avoid at all cost a two tiered public system.
