Abstract
The Interacting Boson Model (IBM) with configuration mixing can be given a geometrical interpretation, when used in conjunction with a (matrix) coherentstate method. This approach can be used to study the geometric aspects of shape coexistence in nuclei, as well as the phase space diagrams associated to this phenomenon.
Keywords: Algebraic models; shape coexistence; phase transition; Configuration Mixing.
