Nanocrystalline hard magnetic alloys

Abstract
The recent progress on the understanding of the physical properties of nanocrystalline hard magnetic alloys, based on Rare earth-Iron-Boron (REFeB) compositions, are reviewed. The discussion includes: fundamental properties, crystal structure, coercivity mechanism, micromagnetic studies and recent applications of these functional alloys. Prospective of future developments are also included.

Resumen
La presente revisión trata sobre las propiedades físicas y avances recientes en aleaciones magnéticas duras nanocristalinas, basadas en la composición tierra-rara-hierro-boro (TRFeB). Se incluyen en la discusión los siguientes aspectos: propiedades físicas fundamentales, estructura cristalina, mecanismos de coercividad, estudios de micromagnetismo y aplicaciones recientes de estas aleaciones funcionales. Se menciona también hacia donde se enfoca la investigación actual en este tema.
