Abstract

The following text is a historiographical analysis of a series of essays written by Silvio Zavala whose main purpose was to elaborate a synthesis of Mexican History from pre-colonial period until the 20th Century; in essence, those essays constituted a “business card” towards international institutions. It includes the analysis of some reports written for UNESCO, conferences at the UNAM, as well as an article originally published in the magazine Nouvelles du Mexique.
